Taraji Omar Abu Talib Mustafa studied sociology at Alexandria University and law at Nilein University. She entered public service early, during her university studies, and in 2001 immigrated to Canada, where she contributed extensively to documenting human rights violations in Sudan. An activist in the field of women’s rights, she later co-founded the SWOP group with her colleagues, which works to achieve sustainable peace for the Sudanese people and empower women in science, economics, and knowledge
